Language and Literacy Education at
National Taichung University of
Education (NTCU) proudly announced
the successful conclusion of "The
7th Global Chinese Language
Education Forum," a prestigious
gathering of scholars and experts
from diverse fields, held on
September 8th. This esteemed event
brought together thought leaders to
deliberate on the multifaceted
aspects of global Chinese language
education.
With an impressive turnout, the forum draw the
participation of 66 esteemed
scholars dedicated to exploring the
present landscape and future
evolution of Chinese language
education in the post-pandemic era.
Deliberations centered on
identifying challenges, harnessing
opportunities, and fostering
excellence in Chinese language
education curriculum theory and
practice.
Highlighting the forum's academic significance,
Professor Chiao-Yu Tsai and
Professor Ying Liu (NTCU) unveiled
their latest publication titled
"Essential Business Chinese for
Foreigners." Additionally, Professor
Cheng-Cheng Yang (National Chiayi
University) delivered a
comprehensive overview of the
current higher education landscape.
Meanwhile, Professor Qun Zhang
(National Taichung University of
Science and Technology) introduced
innovative teaching strategies in
language education curriculum,
probing the impact of ChatGPT on
technology acceptance and learning
outcomes in Chinese language teacher
training. Beyond these enlightening
keynote presentations, the forum
featured a platform for attendees to
actively engage in discussions and
knowledge exchange through poster
presentations.
