In the Lecture Hall of Qui-zhen Building at our university, the Department of Language and Literacy Education held the 11th Academic Symposium on Language Education and Cultural Thought on December 22, 2023. This symposium is a collaborative academic event organized by the Department of Language and Literacy Education at our university, the Department of Literature and Cultural studies at the Education University of Hong Kong, and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at National Pingtung University. It is a significant initiative by the three institutions to promote research in language education and thought culture.The purpose is to promote inter-university academic exchange, stimulate trends in language education and thought culture, and mutually elevate academic prowess.
     This year hosted by the Department of Language and Literacy Education at our university. Teachers and graduate students from the three schools actively submitted contributions, resulting in a total of 20 papers presented. The research topics were diverse, covering areas such as language education, Mandarin teaching, traditional and modern literature, rhetoric, and drama. Scholars from Hong Kong and Taiwan shared their research findings, and the symposium concluded successfully with the convergence and intersection of scholars' thoughts.
