Recently, the government has focused its attention on the field of special education. Based on the concept of " Early Detection, Early Treatment " as well as the needs of society, N TCU founded the Graduate Institute of Early Intervention in 2004. To guide a systematic research in special education, it combines many experts of social welfare, medical treatments, and education. The master program is designed primarily for those who graduated from the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education. As for the in-service master program, those who are early intervention workers are the object. Except progressive researches on early invention, the graduate institute supports many local hospitals, special education institution, government related units and fosters international cooperation overseas. At present, this institute includes 9 staff members, all of whom have Ph.D.s in their respective fields.
