The “Practical Research Proposal Writing With AI Tools” Event Hosted by the Department of Language and Literacy Education, NTCU Concludes Successfully

Under the College of Humanities’ AI Literacy Promotion Program, the Department of Language and Literacy Education invited Assistant Professor Ji-Jing Chen from Tamkang University to be the lecturer for the event “Practical Research Proposal Writing with AI Tools,” held on December 12, 2025.

Through her extensive experience in using AI to support academic writing, Professor Chen shared practical tips with faculty members, helping participants understand how to use AI tools effectively. She emphasized that research should not be conducted in isolation; instead, scholars should make good use of available resources to take their work to the next level. Appropriate use of assistive tools can significantly enhance efficiency and stimulate new modes of thinking. At the same time, researchers must remain mindful of academic ethics and maintain professional judgment—AI cannot and should not completely replace human decision-making, nor be adopted uncritically.

Through a contextual and structured approach, Professor Chen guided attendees to reflect on how AI can be applied to research proposal writing, exploring the characteristics of AI and its broader possibilities. Her generous and open sharing left a strong impression, allowing participants to return with a wealth of knowledge and valuable insights.
