Our school has always been proud
of the development of art and
cultural education, and is
devoted to creating a classical
art school featuring more
artistic sentiment. Therefore,
for the 2010 school anniversary
celebration, we specially
organized an Art Works
Exhibition, hoping that teachers
and graduates of our school, or
outstanding talents from the art
and cultural fields may offer
their art works, calligraphy or
ceramic works to be exhibited in
the school, which has a
significant meaning to promoting
the art and cultural events for
our school.
The school’s celebration ceremony was hosted by
Principal Yang Szu-wei, and many
guests attended on that day,
amongst which the most popular
was Liu Jia-lun who graduated in
2004, and won the first gold
medal (soft tennis men’s team
competition) for Chinese Taipei
during the Asian Games in
Guangzhou. He presented his
racket to the school as a token
of appreciation for the school’s
four years of cultivation during
the celebration ceremony. Zhang
Guang-ming, current head of the
Education Bureau of Taichung
City Government, and Chen
Cong-fu, vice president of the
College of Law at National
Taiwan University as well as
several outstanding alumni from
the education field all attended
the celebration ceremony, and
President Ma Ying-jeou also
called to congratulate our
school.
During the celebration event, besides praising
the outstanding alumni of the
20th session, presenting
scholarships from the alumni
association, as well as the
various awards for 2010
outstanding teachers, excellent
teaching materials and brilliant
teachers, most special was that
our school invited 50 pairs of
alumni from two generations to
gather together, which not only
allowed the event venue to exude
a cozy ambience, but also
witnessed the long history of
the National Taichung University
of Education through these 50
pairs of alumni of parents and
children.
On the next day, creative entrance from various
faculties were first presented
on the sports gala for the
school’s celebration, and all
teams demonstrated enthusiastic
and energetic vitality
regardless of the styles, which
included retro style, college
style, funny style and exquisite
style and props. Overseas
Chinese students and exchange
students all made props,
clothing or flags to present the
characteristics of the various
countries for the creative
entrance. After the ceremony, an
energetic cheerleading
performance was given by the
Department of Special Education
and the Department of Physical
Education, which was followed by
a series of exciting sports
events. Lastly, the sports gala
for the school’s celebration was
ended successfully with the NIKE
