Between
October 20th and 25th,Dr.Chu,
Hai-Cheng and Ms. Hsu, Chia-Feng, as
representatives went to Surabaya and
Jakarta in Indonesia to attend the
“2012 Education Fair of Study in
Taiwan”. They had a great chance to
meet the Vice Rector, Dr.Sunardji,
of Universitas Indonesia(UI) and
discussed the possibilities of
academic collaboration of NTCU and
UI. The meeting brought about the
wonderful result of Sunardji’s visit
and MoU signing on October 30th
Universitas Indonesia was founded in
1849. It is widely recognized as one
of the oldest and reputable
Universities in Asia, and ranked
No.1 in Indonesia of more than 200
million population. Three years ago,
American president Obama presented a
formal speech in the university.
Until now, it has produced more than
400,000 alumni; moreover, it strives
to achieve the high level of
distinction of discovery,
development and diffusion of
knowledge. In the future, we expect
the two universities to develop more
exchange projects and to achieve the
deeper collaboration and
cooperation.
