On August 9th, the
delegation group from Xiamen
University, led by President Zhu,
Chong-Shi came to visit NTCU and
President Yang, Szu-Wei. Among
universities of mainland China,
Xiamen University is the important
and prestigious institution in the
category of 985 projects. The visit
and meeting offered the two
presidents to fully discuss issues
of collaboration and also paved the
way for future academic cooperation
and exchange of students and staff.
It was indeed a precious chance that
President Zhu led the group himself,
which marked the milestone of
cross-strait academic connection
with NTCU. Meanwhile, President Yang
arranged President Zhu and directors
of XU to meet Mayor Hu, Chih-Chiang,
where they exchanged ideas of
communication between institutions
of Taichung and Xiamen in the near
