 NTCU alumni who are the idol in academic, business, law, political, medical area are the greatest honor to National Taichung University of Education . Their abundant professionals are the strength to lead up the society.
Inherited near centenary NTCU spirits, the university turns aggressively to be a liberal arts university. By first developing pointed features and then promoting qualities, we hope to approach the goal- the top in the region, the head in Taiwan and a distinguished liberal arts university in the nations. The greatest potential
In 2007, NTCU received a grant from Ministry of Education and manipulated it on assisting partial departments to be more outstanding and competitive.

The finest teaching quality
In July 15 th 2007, Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan announced the results of evaluating all the educational, art, and sport universities. NTCU is the highest rate to be approved among all the eight teacher training universities and has the excellent appearances.

The most suitable university for destitute but excellent students
In 2007, the university gained tuition of NT$ 8,000 per month for 100 excellent teacher training students and the most numbers of elementary school teacher training students studying at public expenses in the nation. (8 for National Taichung University of Education, 6 for National Pingtung University of Education, 4 for National Taipei University of Education, 2 for Taipei Municipal University of Education, 1 for National Hsinchu University of Education and National University of Tainan) Continuously, NTCU will strive for the number of students studying at public expenses and being the best university for destitute but excellent students.

Ministry of Education responded positively to NTCU for the local educational assistance and it promoted NTCU into the best university germinating professional elementary school teachers.

B. Top university in training language education |
NTCU was the leadership of National Language Competition for twelve running times and the achievements were ahead of the nation. The honors during 1996 are as below:
- the champion from team groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
- the champion from native language team, groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
- schoolmate Chiang Po-Hsuan was awarded number one from lettering team, groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
- Schoolmate Tsai Pei-Yun was awarded number one from reading team, groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
- Schoolmate Ko Chun-Ting was awarded number one from composition team, groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
- Schoolmate Hsiao Han-Wen was awarded number one from team of Taiwanese speech, groups of educational universities and educational department in the universities, National Language Competition
